Our Story
Venturhaus was born in the foothills of Evergreen, Colorado, inspired by a lifelong love of vans, the outdoors and intentional design. Founder T.J. Rivers grew up on the road in his family’s VW bus, Vanagon, and Honda Odyssey, where travel shaped his sense of freedom. A cross-country move and years spent studying digital media and industrial design helped him merge hands-on building with thoughtful craftsmanship. What started with transforming his family van into the “Silver Whale” grew into a design studio focused on user-centered builds, sustainability, and timeless aesthetics. Venturhaus treats every van as a vessel for living well. Its modular systems, durable materials, and refined layouts are engineered to evolve with each owner’s life. Challenges are embraced as part of the process, driving constant iteration and improvement. Today, Venturhaus is more than a conversion shop. It is a community of adventurers and creatives who share a belief in connection, quality, and purposeful living. The result is vans built for the road and designed for life.
